- Ms. Yang has acted in a number of cross-border transactions, advising both foreigners in new start-ups, acquiring existing businesses in mainland China, and PRC clients in their outbound investments. Some of the recent cross-border transactions include:
- Counsel to an international finance group (name withheld) in connection with equity investment in an enclosure and further land development project at Haiyan in Zhejiang Province of China;
- Counsel to Tenet Jove Technology Development Co., Ltd. in connection with its restructuring and offshore public.
- Ms Yang also has extensive expertise in corporate governance, corporate finance and general corporate advice fields. Some of her clients in this area include:
- Annual counselor to Air China Limited, Pegasus Visual Digital Media Co., Ltd., Toshiba Medical Systems (China) Co., Ltd., Huabo Yuanda International Education Group Ltd., and Tokyo Commercial (Beijing) Co., Ltd.;
- Ms Yang advises a diverse group of organizations in the civil aviation and aviation insurance industries, including airports, airlines, aircraft operators, freight forwarders and their brokers and insurers. Ms Yang engages in both contentious and non-contentious matters in aviation law field:
- Non-contentious: advises on aircraft sale and purchase and lease agreements, code-shares agreements, Sino-foreign joint-ventures, and transportation agreements;
- Contentious: coordinates with re-insurers’ lawyers in handling aircraft accidents, including China Northern Airlines 5.7 air accident, Air China 4.15 air accident and China Eastern Airlines 11.21 air accident, passenger, goods in transit, third party property and product claims and subrogation within mainland China.
